Make Any Rofs2 For Any Version of Core < For C6 CFW >

Hi,This guide will help to make every rofs2 based on C6/N97mini port Compact-able with Your core version.Flashing with wrong/in-compactable Rofs2 may temporarily brick your phone as a result phone wont boot after flash. It may be a simple process but very useful. It'll give you a healthy phone.

What Not To Do-If your CFW Maker is suggesting you to rename the ROFS FILE EXTENSION,Never do that as renaming a rofs to cant change its built format.

For Example-Suppose Your RM-625's Rofs Variant is

"RM-625_40.1.003_prd.rofs2.V01"

& you renamed it to "RM-625_40.1.003_prd.rofs2.V22"

JAF will accept it & may flash without errors but your phone will brick temporally.

Right way of repacking Rofs2 with your variant is as follows.

Tools We Need-

1. Nokia Editor Latest Beta 7 (Link)
2. Core Supported Rofs2 [Like PNHT Core Uses .V01],or take the last Rofs2 with which you have flashed your phone successfully.

How To-

1.If your JAF says "Flashing files are corrupted or missing" then 1st take your New rofs2 with which you want to flash your phone,Unpack with Nokia editor.Rename the rofs folder To rofs2-new

2. Now take your old Rofs2; from which you have flashed your phone successfully last time & Unpack it using Nokia Editor.

3. Now Goto Rofs Folder Delete everything & Copy files from  "rofs2-new"

4. Repack & flash.Done.

Note:- With this you can make every rof2 your own for any available core versions.Never matter which core version you are using.Just know the proper extention of the RM-xxx_XXXX._prd.Rofs2.Vxx" & go with the described process.

Happy Flashing

*The Trick is great. But I am not responsible for any foolishness you have done
